I'm managing a sales team of 6 people (mainly junior). They usually see our clients on Salesforce as mere numbers or potential opportunities to get a commission. They typically do the minimum tasks to remind/reconnect with them without understanding their needs. How can I incentivize my team to engage and spend more time on connecting deeper with our potential clients?
Hi Gerome this is a common problem and most important is for you to create a culture where their is an understand that every customer is an individual with different wants and needs and a different story and your sales team job is to learn all the different aspects of this persons business life to be able to support them. On top of that they need to be always learning, testing competitor softwares and being interested in getting better every day. It is hard to motivate anyone, just improve people who want to get better. However these books would help them:
